Esther had got herself a part-time job at Meadowview Retirement Home picking up the residents' groceries and prescriptions from the local chemist. But enterprising Esther also had a little side-hustle where she provided the inhabitants with little' extras' along with their bags of grapes, copies of 'Yours' and angina tablets. The care home staff just couldn't work out why Mr Jones suddenly found Bingo hilarious and why he'd developed a huge appetite for crisps and biscuits or why Mrs Martin was suddenly alert enough to complete 'Wurdle' whereas previously she'd slept for 23 hours of the day. And don't even get them started on the events of last saturday night when the residents had pooled their pensions and booked Pete Tong (who luckily did cut rates for OAPs) to DJ and they were still raving when the milkman arrived!
