Roses Are Red
'Roses are red
Daffs are yellow
Kyle thought Debs was a lady
But 'she' was a fellow (called Dave)'
The last of the true romantics, Kyle, had been 'virtually' dating Debbie since March 2020 and despite living in the same town, they had never met in the flesh. In fact, Kyle had yet to see her (except for the few pics she’d sent, revealing an uncanny resemblance to Kim Kardashian), as Debbie’s webcam was always broken. But they'd had the most profound conversations and Kyle was In Love. So much so, he sent her money every week for her sick mother.
But on Valentine's Day, Kyle could stand it no longer. He needed to see Debbie's pretty face! He changed into his best tracksuit and walked to her house so they could chat on the doorstep (socially distanced of course) and he could hand his rose over. It seemed like a fantastic plan until he arrived and the door was opened by a man who confessed to being 'Debbie'. But as their eyes met and Kyle recounted all the deep and meaningful conversations they'd had, he realised that love transcended gender and that he still loved this person, whether they were Debbie or Dave. Luckily, Dave felt the same and vowed to return all the cash he'd scammed from Kyle, and the two lived happily ever after. The end!
